Every Belgian resident is obliged to report foreign bank accounts to the National Bank of Belgium. Failure to report such accounts may result in the imposition of a fine. Izola Bank will always pay gross interest, so it is the customer's responsibility to ensure that these accounts are registered and the interest earned is declared.
As a Belgian resident, am I obliged to register my foreign bank account?
